Description of the work|

This work is a modern interpretation of the creator's tribute to the famous work "The Kiss" by Austrian painter **Gustav Klimt**. It transforms the affectionate kiss of humans into the gentle kiss of two cats, conveying the purity and poetry of love and intimacy through the figures of cats.

In the picture, a black cat and a white cat embrace and kiss, symbolizing yin and yang, opposition and integration, and the understanding and harmony between different individuals. The contrast between black and white is not just a choice of color, but also symbolizes the complementarity and tension in the relationship. They are dressed in Klimt-style golden robes, with a gold foil-like texture and geometric decorative details, echoing the sacred and romantic atmosphere of the original work, but also adding a sense of warmth and intimacy because of the cat's soft posture.

The background is made up of glittering dots like the starry sky, as if the universe is witnessing this quiet but profound kiss. The green hem sets off the golden main body, making the overall composition more stable and layered, and continuing Klimt's ability to create depth in a flat surface.

This painting is not only a reinterpretation of a classic, but also a confession that brings art closer to daily life, full of childlike fun and soul. In a busy world, sometimes a quiet hug or a simple kiss is enough to stop time.

About the creator|linlin

Linlin is a visual designer and artist. She has been engaged in design and visual communication for more than 30 years and is good at using images to construct the intersecting space of emotions, memory and subconsciousness. Her creations span graphic design, visual composition and contemporary art, and she gradually transforms the sharp visual language of many years of design practice into a more private and poetic artistic vocabulary.

She is deeply inspired by the psychological level and the state of consciousness, and her works often dive into the deep currents of emotions and the cracks of thoughts. From the questioning of "real happiness" in the painting "Do U Happy?", to the response to Klimt's golden romance with a cat kiss in "Kiss Cat", to the floating consciousness structure like a metamorphosis in "Whisper of the Horizon", we can see her perseverance and honest gaze on the "inner image".

"MicroDreams" further expands her imagination of microscopic life and sensory dislocation. Using acrylic and fluorescent pigments as media, she creates a visual biological community that cannot be clearly defined - like a dream, fantasy, real and fake.

Linlin believes that art is not just the result of viewing, but a process of resonance between the viewer and his or her own soul. She invites every viewer to walk into these visual channels and meet themselves.
